Tarleton State University Rodeo & Year End Overall

The TSU Rodeo was an eventful one at that! The rodeo started off with a bang Thursday night with 3 of our students claiming the round win in that performance, and it just got better from there...

In the Calf Roping we had three WT Men's Team Members advance to the short round! Seaver Tate won the round with an 8.0, followed by E.J. Bechthold with an 8.6 and Zach Linger with an 8.8. In the Short go Seaver placed in the round and won Reserve Champ in the Average at the TSU Rodeo!

In the Breakaway Roping we had three WT Women's Team Members advance from the long round to the short round! Meghan Gray was a 2.7, Jessica Ehlers was a 3.0, and Ali Bilkey was a 3.1! In the short go Jessica was a 4.0 allowing her to claim 3rd overall in the TSU rodeo!

In the Steer Wrestling Chris Bechthold was a 5.5, winning 4th in the long round, and advancing to the short round!

TSU Rodeo was the last rodeo of our 2015 Spring Semester. We did not have any students that advanced to the college finals through competition, however we did have one Student, Logan Harkey, the Region Student Director, who will get to attend the CNFR and represent WTAMU in Casper, Wyoming this June 2015! Logan was also nominated to be one of the potential recipients of The Walt Garrison Award, which is presented to one student in Casper, Wyoming at the 2015 CNFR. Wishing Logan the best of luck!

Overall the year end standings the WT Women's team took 5th in the Southwest Region and our Men's took 10th. Our women's team was very compeittive this semster as well as our mens!

We are very proud of the hard work, determination, and effort that our students gave to WTAMU in and out of the arena, and could not be happier to be a part of this amazing team! We had a good season this year, and we are already preparing for next year. WTAMU Buffs will be back!
